Reading Log: March 12 – 17

I made some progress with my reading this week. (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑  I read my usual webcomics:

  • Dolphin Fairy episode 57
  • H&H Roman Company episode 48
  • BJ Alex episode 15
  • My Starry sky episode 22
  • Sign episode 15

I then decided to read 30 Dys with You (episodes 22 to 25) since I had a few episodes accumulating. Since Lezhin was having another Coinback Event I decided to get episodes 10 to 20 of See You at the Crosswalk. I started to Miss Sing Sing’s (the author’s) storytelling so I re-read episodes one to eleven of Stop at the Red Light.

I went to my local library with my sister-in-law, nephew, and niece so I decided to pick a few books I’ve been meaning to read. I ended up picking out Heir of Novron by Michael J. Sullivan, Queen of Blood by Sarah Beth Durst, and Skytsone by Jack Whyte.

Heir of Novron is the last installment to the Riyria Revelations. I had read the last two books back in 2012 and finally decided to pick it up. (゜。゜) This was foolhardy of me since I forgot all subplots and secondary characters. Disappointed in my memory, I picked up my copy of the first book, Theft of Swords, and did a re-read. ✧⁺⸜(●′▾‵●)⸝⁺✧ This book renewed my interest in reading again. I got happier the more I read it and I enjoyed meeting the characters again. After finishing the book, I went on Amazon (to take advantage of two day shipping) and purchased the second book, Rise of Empire.

While waiting for my order I decided to browse the e-books on Amazon and that’s when I found Dom of Las Vegas. Since it was free I decided to just give it a try. I usually do not care of what I read if the plot is interesting, the story pace is good, and the characters are intriguing. I typically do not reach for Romance books, but there are times when I’m in the mood for such a book. While this was an interesting prospect, I just couldn’t get into the story. I do plan on finishing it though just to see how everything comes together, but I’m probably not going to pick up the next book.

Until next time.
