I typically try not to read anything on Sunday because I want to dedicate it to typing these Reading & Anime logs of mine. However, on that particular day I was practicing being efficient (with my work) and got ambitious. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧
I had finally completed purchasing the rest of the series so I read volume one to three of Clay Lord. I had first read this as a fan-translation until it’s official release was announced (I had only read volume one at that time.). It was torture waiting for all three volumes to come out, but they were well worth the read.
I do have to say that not a lot of reading was done this week either. (＃⌒∇⌒＃)ゞ I just read my usual webcomics:
- Dolphin Fairy episode 56
- H&H Roman Company episode 47
- BJ Alex episode 14
- Starry Sky episode 21
- Royal Servant episode 50
I also did not do a lot of anime watching either. (〃￣ω￣〃)ゞ Lately, I’ve been clicking random anime titles that I usually do not watch and I’ve been regretting them a bit. I feel like I should take a step back from anime searching just so I can stumble across them again.
While Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace does fall under a genre (crime with a bit of mystery) I typically like watching the series just left me feeling unfulfilled. I’ve never actually read any of Edogawa Ranpo’s works so I have no idea how accurate of a portrayal the anime is. I mean, does the dark tone of the anime fit the dark tone of his works? I think I’ve been deceived into expecting another Detective Conan (where the tone of anime is not so harsh or severe). However, as a crime and mystery anime I should expect this dark theme showing the realities of the human psyche. That being said out of the 11 episodes I had enjoyed watching episode 6 the most (the most lighthearted one).
So I’ve just been keeping up with my usual anime releases:
- School Babysitters
- Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens
Jumping around and re-watching certain episodes of my favorite series:
- Ace of the Diamond
And I decided to continue watching a few series I started:
- How to Keep a Mummy episodes 4-10
- Sanrio Boys episodes 8 & 9
To be honest I really had no idea what Sanrio was so I went to the anime knowing nothing and was just expecting to see another group of high school boys living their lives. This anime really did introduce me to the world of Sanrio. (Well, the only Sanrio character I’ve heard about was Hello Kitty.) Over the weekend while I was at work I came across Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Purin. Talk about coincidence. I had started a little collection that day. (*⌒▽⌒*)θ～♪ (Now I just need a place to put them.)
Until next time.
